Education is key to conquer the fight against poverty.
Quality education for vulnerable children.
Located north-west of Gulu in Ocuka Village, Wajoli Kindergarten and Primary School is a community school, offering quality education to children in the surrounding villages.
The nearest school is five kilometres away - a very long walk for young children - making the ongoing operation of the school critical to the community.
We follow the Ugandan syllabus, but encourage practical learning methods that allow the pupils to engage in hands-on learning.
Positive behaviour management, small class sizes, computer lessons and a special reading program are some of the initiatives that set us apart from other schools in the district.
Our goal is to provide access to quality education and progressive learning techniques for village children.
The school relies solely on the generosity of our hardworking supporters to keep the doors open.
You can support Wajoli Kindergarten and Primary School by contributing a monthly or once-off donation. We will keep you updated on the school's success through our newsletters.
Thank You for Supporting Wajoli School
We are so grateful to our sponsors and supporters that allow us to keep the doors open at Wajoli Kindergarten and Primary School.
Without your critical support, the children of Ocuka, Layik, Atanga, Kulu Keno and Te-dam Villages would not be receiving an education.
The Future of Wajoli School
Wajoli Kindergarten and Primary school aspires to nurture learning and develop quality and inspiring education that changes lives. We value integrity, respect, compassion, courage and leadership, for young learners.
Currently, we offer K1 - K3 (Kindergarten) and P1 - P4 (Primary levels). With your help, we would like to open P5 - P7 and enrol an extra 90 students (30 students per class level).
To achieve this, we would need to acquire extra run cost funding, renovate 3 remaining classrooms that require attention, and construct an extra 3 more classrooms, office, store and school kitchen.
With your help, we can achieve this. We can accomplish the final years of primary education and give our learners the best start in life.
